Another definition of data user is: a person or organization using data as input for further processing.
Responsibilities of a data users are:
- Ensuring that the data is reliable and secure. These responsibilities focus on how the data is secured, how it will be used, how long it can be kept and with whom it can be shared.
- Ensuring that the data has business value and clear data quality.
- Ensuring that the data is only used for the purpose for which it was collected.
