Accessibility of data is the degree to which the user is able to access and use data.

• Accessibility involves ensuring that data is stored in a format that is compatible with the tools and applications that will be used to work with it.
• Accessibility also includes ensuring that appropriate permissions and security protocols are in place to control who has access to the data.

• You have to be able to find the data first, to know if they are accessible.
• Other aspects of data security are confidentiality and integrity (CIA).
