Timeliness of data availability is the degree to which the period between the time of 
creation of the [[data_concept:real value|real value]] and the time that the [[data_concept:dataset availability|dataset is available]] is appropriate.

Note the difference with [[punctuality|punctuality]] which refers to a planned point in time of delivery.

===Example===
The annual report over 2022 became available at 15 January 2023. The timeliness of the report was more than appropriate.
